Burnsville Soccer
The Burnsville Fire Soccer Club is a non-profit, community-based organization partnering with the Burnsville Athletic Club to offer recreational (in-house) and competitive (traveling) league soccer for residents of Burnsville and Savage and ISD 191 students, defined as our primary service area. We have been the primary provider of soccer programs in the community since 1971 and provide a feeder program for Burnsville Senior High School.

Program Philosophy
The Fall Competitive League provides Summer Competitive Players the opportunity to get a head start on next summer by playing in the fall. Playing time in each game is at the discretion of the coach, but should be balanced over the course of the season. The focus of training and league play is the development of each player’s technical and tactical ability, fitness, and competitive drive.

Eligibility
The Fall Competitive League is open to players born between 8/1/94 and 7/31/00. Players from outside our community will be accepted only after appropriate placement of players within our primary service area. Players born after 7/31/00 may be assigned at the discretion of the Director of Coaching.

Team Formation
Fall Competitive Teams will be composed as much as possible of Summer 2009 Competitive Team Rosters. Individual players (not playing 2009 Summer Comp Soccer) may also register to play and will be held in a pool for teams needing additional players. The Director of Coaching has sole authority to place these players on existing rosters. Players not placed will be offered a spot in our Fall Recreational League.

Calendar
Expected player commitment is through October 19, 2008. Teams will play one game per week, typically on the weekend, and will practice 1-3 times per week.

Cost
Club Fees include local, state and national registration, participant insurance, field/equipment costs, league referee fees, team coaching fees and are due at the time of registration.

Club Fees are non-refundable except in the case of a season-ending injury or player relocation before 8/11/08 or if the club is unable to place the player on a team. Team Fees will vary from team to team. Team Fees could include Harvest Fest Registration and other tournament costs. Team Fees will be collected by the Team Manager. Uniform Fees apply to players who do not already have the club Diadora kit introduced in 2007. Players who need a kit may purchase one at Soccer USA. The cost of the kit is $74.

Miscellaneous
*Players registered for the Fall Competitive League are prohibited from playing for or registering with another MYSA-sanctioned club or high school soccer team during the season.
*Scholarship assistance is available to families meeting income guidelines. Scholarship Request Forms may be requested at the Registration Session or downloaded from the club web site.
*Players must provide their own shin guards, ball (Under-11/12 = Size 4, Under-13/14 = Size 5) and soccer cleats.
